Creating Campaigns

At this point you should have installed and run the example code.  If you haven't done so, click here.

Moving forward, you will undoubtedly want to build your own campaigns.  If the examples code and campaigns include many of the features you want to use in your production campaign, you can start your new campaign by making a copy of one of the examples.

Open an example campaign and make a copy of it:

Or start your new campaign:

When creating a new outbound campaign, you will be asked to:

Set the targeting

Name the campaign

Set the callerid options.  This last step only applies to campaigns launched manually from the VoiceShot Web site.  For calls initiated from the API, callerid is passed in through the API

Select a main greeting sound file.  This can be changed later or dynamically replaced with the API.  So anything will work here at this point.

When creating a new inbound campaign, you will be asked to:

Select a template.  The Blank template is recommended for most API campaigns.

Name the campaign

Enable/disable email alerts.  Unchecked is recommended for API campaigns.

Set the number of rings before answer.

At this point, you should be at the Design Campaign step.  Learn more.
